What you pay when people redeem
Employees redeem at face value in points. Your company pays the reward cost plus pass-through provider fees and a small UpShout processing fee so payouts stay in the black. No surprise markups.
Gift cards, donations & prepaid
Face + 3%
Tremendous sends these at face value (no provider send fee). You pay the reward amount plus a 3% UpShout processing fee.
Example: $25 gift card → you pay $25.75
Cash-out (PayPal, Venmo, bank, wallets)
Face + 7%
Tremendous charges 4% when your company covers the cash-out fee. UpShout adds 3% processing on top — 7% total above face value.
Example: $25 cash-out → you pay $26.75
How the math works
- Company pays: face value + provider fee + 3% UpShout processing.
- Gift cards / donations: provider fee $0 → face + 3%.
- Cash-out: 4% Tremendous provider fee + 3% UpShout processing → face + 7%.
- Card funding:if we fund Tremendous by credit card, we pass through Tremendous's 3% card-funding fee (ACH/bank funding is $0).
- Employees: always redeem at face value in points — fees are billed to your company, not deducted from their reward.

During beta, seats are $0/month even though our list price is $3/user/month (same as Bonusly Team without Bizy). Your organization keeps a card on file for reward redemptions only. We'll email you well before beta ends with the date seat billing starts.
